Miss Woodhouse's Musings

…about life, the universe, and everything. Don't panic!

Stamen Power

This past week we’ve had a little sun, a little snow, and a lot of rain.

I, for one, am over it. It’s time for spring! With that in mind, this week’s shot is of a lovely lily.

To put it in perspective, here’s a wider-angle shot.

Have a happy Friday!

Green Beans

Today’s Friday Frame Up is actually a sneak  peek to a Starbucks post I’m working on! This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a local Starbucks: bins with a visual representation of beans at every point in the roasting process.

My only regret is that the merchandise was blocking the last panel, so it isn’t in the picture. Overall though, it is still a pretty cool thing to see at the counter.

Have a happy Friday, and I’ll see you all soon.

Keep Calm and Brew Coffee

Welcome back to Friday Frame Up! I’m on day 4 of 9 closes in a row at Starbucks, so things are all well and good here. Have a fantastic start to your weekend, and I’ll be back with some Starbucks stories over the next few days!

Iris

Ah, I love spring. I love flowers, warm weather, nice breezes, pretty skies, chirping birds…I love it all.

But mostly I love the flowers. So, today’s Friday Frameup is a picture I took of some of the flowers I’ve had festooning the house so far this spring. I love the colour of irises, and how unusually they open. They aren’t a “traditional” flower, but they have a beauty all their own.

Happy weekend, and happy spring!

Wasn’t as big or impressive where I live, but pretty all the same! Happy weekend!

Karma

I love this necklace! I bought it from Cookie Lee almost a year ago, to wear at work. I loved the blocky silver charms and the way that they contrasted with the round turquoise. Mostly though, I loved the words on the charms. They represent everything that I love about the Starbucks spirit: success, happiness, love, hope, and inspiration.

So, when I’m feeling a bit down at work I put this on, and the jingling of all the charms helps me remember to be legendary!
